1. What We Are (And What We Aren't)

Nippon Rain is an editorial travel content website. We publish articles, guides, and advice about rain patterns and weather conditions in Japan based on historical data and personal experience. We are a media company. We are not a meteorological service. We are not a travel agency. We do not hold a travel agency license. We do not sell tours, hotel rooms, transportation tickets, or travel insurance.

The information on this Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to be a substitute for professional meteorological advice, official weather forecasts, or travel planning services. We make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, availability, or completeness of any information on the Site.

Weather is inherently unpredictable. Historical rainfall averages do not guarantee future conditions. A city that typically receives 100mm of rain in June might receive 300mm one year and 30mm the next. We present historical data to help you set reasonable expectations, not to provide forecasts for your specific trip dates.

2. Not a Weather Service

Let's be very clear about this: we are not a weather service. We don't have radar. We don't have satellites. We don't have meteorologists on staff. We have travel writers who look at historical weather data and share their personal experiences.

For actual weather forecasts for your trip, you should consult official sources such as the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the Japan Meteorological Corporation (JMC), or other professional meteorological services. These organizations have the expertise, equipment, and data to provide accurate short-term and medium-term forecasts. We don't.

Relying solely on our historical data to plan outdoor activities, make travel bookings, or take safety precautions would be unwise. We strongly recommend checking official weather forecasts closer to your travel dates and adjusting your plans accordingly. If a typhoon warning is issued, follow the guidance of local authorities, not our articles about typical September conditions.

3. Not a Travel Agency

We are not a travel agency and we do not provide travel agency services. We don't book flights, hotels, train tickets, restaurant reservations, tours, or activities. We don't plan itineraries. We don't provide travel consultation services.

Our content may mention specific hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, or tour operators. These mentions are based on our personal experiences or research and do not constitute recommendations or endorsements unless explicitly stated. We receive no compensation from any business mentioned on this Site.

Any travel arrangements you make based on information from this Site are your own responsibility. We are not liable for any losses, damages, or inconveniences resulting from travel decisions made using our content. This includes but is not limited to: canceled flights, missed connections, closed attractions, overbooked hotels, or travel plans disrupted by weather conditions.
